Last week was a difficult week. I got to really see what life without the Spirit is like in the lives of people I care about, some who claim to be followers of Christ. I was heartbroken and also humbled to see that the only reason I am not involved in all that is described in verses 19-20, is because of His Spirit within me. A terrifying reality for those who are apart from Him, an eternal hope for me because I am in Him. Bittersweet.
