“Made nigh by the blood of Christ” - Today, I can truly rest in full assurance that I am accepted by God because of what Jesus has done! Right now, I can draw near to My Father and serve Him from that place of rest.

“He is our peace...” Today I am challenged to value peace and unity with my brothers and sisters in Christ as highly as He does. If there was nothing that could “abolish the enmity” between us except the sacrifice of His own life, then may nothing in my actions and nothing in my heart work against this priceless oneness He died to create.

I do not miss the days when I was without Christ and thus without hope and without a relationship with God. I have every reason to be filled with joy today because I've been "brought nigh". My goal is to walk in that joy today.
