The past few months, I have suffered greatly with migraines. One migraine after another has been debilitating. However, having the hope of others praying and caring about me has been my strength. When any member of our fellowship hurts, it is a beautiful reminder to pray. Prayer changes circumstances. Our God is forever faithful to hear and answer our prayers.

What stood out to me about today’s and yesterday’s verses are the necessity of fellowship. Paul talks about sending these others before him as if it is a necessity, not just a bonus. Likewise, we should treat fellowship, even if we have to go far out of our way for it, to be critical for the body of Christ, and especially in the context of someone called as a pastor-teacher or evangelist going to fellowship with other parts of the body.
