Malcolm & Carol Wild
Malcolm and Carol have been married for 56 years. They have three children and nine grandchildren. Amazingly, they were saved together on the same day 55 years ago, in a little village in England, their native country. It was the “Jesus Movement” of the Sixties, and as they both grew in the Lord,Malcolm’s first involvement in ministry came as a member of the folk-rock band, Malcolm and Alwyn. Their first recording, “Fool’s Wisdom”, helped establish them as pioneers of contemporary Christian music.
In 1976, Malcolm was invited to pastor the Maranatha! Musicians' Fellowship at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, so he, Carol and their three children moved from England to Southern California. Malcolm grew as a Bible teacher and would eventually serve under Pastor Chuck as an assistant pastor for the next seven and a half years. That was when he received a call from a fellowship in Central Florida that was looking for a pastor. Under Malcolm’s leadership, that church would become “Calvary Chapel Merritt Island” — the first Calvary Chapel in Florida! Feeding that flock has been Malcolm’s passion for the last 39 years.
In fact, Malcolm and Carol both love to teach the Word of God. Carol leads the church’s thriving women’s ministry and is also a frequent guest speaker at many of the women’s retreats and conferences in the Calvary Chapel movement. Malcolm and Carol were saved together, and, by the grace of God, they have served the Lord together!
